“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you,” Maya Angelou once said.

We couldn’t agree more and that’s why we’ve made it our mission to help people like you tell their extraordinary stories.

Our approach to this is unique in every way. We use only the finest talent; individuals who have decades of experience working for the world's most respected media companies, to create books that look, feel and read like the ones you find on the shelves of your favourite bookshop.

Why do we do all this? It's quite simple. We believe stories are important and deserve to stand the test of time.

My grandfather’s book is my most treasured belonging. It captures him perfectly and I can’t quite express the gratitude I feel. Thank you.
Pippa E, London

How It Works

No matter how simple or elaborate, we produce books to the highest quality.
Every element of our unique process is bespoke to you. Here’s how it works…

Your personal project manager will guide you through the entire process. A telephone scoping session, specially designed to understand your vision for the book, will enable us to determine every detail, from the structure and narrative style to the number of pages, interview sessions and even how many copies you would like.

Your project manager will also outlines the various options available to you, including having one of our celebrity photographers capture your portrait for the cover, before assigning an author best suited to you and the style of book ahead of the interviewing stage.

From Oscar winners and war heroes to superstar singers and titans of the business world, our interviewers have worked with some of the world’s most prolific individuals and are unique skilled to carefully and sensitively extract all the details needed to create a gripping and memorable read.

Putting you perfectly at ease, our informal (and confidential) chats can take place either in person, on the phone or by video call – whichever you’re most comfortable with.

Then our acclaimed ghostwriters – responsible for writing bestselling biographies – get to work transforming the transcript into a page-turner that perfectly captures your voice and character. A sample chapter will be sent for your approval, to ensure you’re happy with the tone before we continue with the manuscript.

We all know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but we just can’t help ourselves...

That’s why we use only the most talented and creative graphic designers in the business, to create beautiful books inside and out. When it comes to the perfect front cover, there are various options available. You can choose to pose for one of our celebrity photographers, either at a studio, your home or a scenic outdoor location, or alternatively you can supply your own imagery – perhaps one from your archives.

Maybe you’d prefer an illustration or bold graphic instead. Whatever you decide, we guide you every step of the journey.

This is where everything starts to take shape. With the manuscript and artwork now complete and approved, the entire project is given one final and very thorough going-over by our eagle-eyed production team.

With unique skills gathered over decades working on iconic newspapers and magazines, our professional proofreaders can spot a spelling mistake at 100 paces.

Then it’s off to the printers. Using high quality paper and the finest binding, whether hardback or paper, our publishing partners also put the finishing touches to texts by written by household names and destined for book shelves and bedside tables across the land.

And if it’s good enough for them…

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL… Creating something special doesn’t have to stop at the publication of your bespoke biography. Why not turn it into an e-book readable on Kindles and other devices or an audiobook, read by yourself or one of our professional voiceover artists, allowing your story to truly come to life.

Our dynamic pricing structure enables us to create biographies that are bespoke in every detail, from what’s on the cover to the number of chapters and even the kind of paper it’s printed on. Simply choose one of our packages, browse our range of fabulous optional extras and leave the rest to us.

Can you tell me more about Master Storytellers?

Master Storytellers was founded by multi award-winning writer Nick Boulos. One of his greatest regrets is not learning more about the life of his late and much-loved grandmother. Hoping to help others avoid that same fate, he put together a stable of handpicked writers, editors, proofreaders and designers to create world class biographies. With decades of experience, our team has written bestselling books and worked with stars of stage and screen, Prime Ministers and some of the most successful people in the world. You can learn more about us here.

How does it work?

Our unique approach begins with a telephone consultation with your dedicated Book Manager, who will be your point of contact through the entire process. You can find more information about the rest of the process here.

How long does it take?

The whole process typically takes between 10-12 weeks. Tighter deadlines can be accommodated where possible. Our Express delivery option enables us to complete a book in 2-4 weeks.

Who will the writer be?

We always assign writers who are the best fit for both you and the project itself, based on their personality, experience, interests and writing style. Once a choice has been determined you will receive a full profile of the writer for your approval. All of our interviewers, writers, authors and editors are handpicked and have decades of experience working for the world’s best magazines, newspapers and media companies including the BBC, Netflix, New York Times and Vogue.

Can I read the manuscript before it’s published?

Of course. We want to ensure you are completely happy with every element of the book so we send you the first chapter to give you an idea of the tone. The rest of the book will arrive in two further stages for your approval. Revisions are included in the price.

Can I see a sample book?

To protect the privacy of our clients, all our books remain private and are not shared with anybody.

Do I really have a story to tell?

We are yet to find someone who doesn’t. Storytelling is a skill and much of it comes down to extracting the right information and presenting it in the most compelling way. We have done precisely this for the world’s most famous celebrities and biggest media companies, so you’re in safe hands.

I’m not sure what kind of book I would like…

Fear not. Our friendly team will be happy to evaluate your thoughts and outline the best options available to you. We’re with you every step of the way.

What kind of style and format will the book have?

There are lots of possibilities. Most people opt for a chronological narrative but that’s only one option and there are a number of effective alternatives. Equally, when it comes to style and structure, we can write it in the past or present tense and either in the first or third person in order to capture your voice perfectly. We will guide you through all the options to help you make the decisions that are right for you.

How much control will I have?

Complete control! You will be involved at every stage of the process to ensure the book is exactly as you want it to be.

What about amends and revisions?

The manuscript will be sent for your approval after which changes and revisions can be made before publication.

Do you offer any extras?

Oh, yes. Our exciting range of optional extras are designed to elevate your book to the highest possible level and the very same standards usually reserved for public figures and published authors.

How can I make my book even more special?

There are lots of exciting possibilities available to you. Our range of optional extras include having your portrait taken for your book’s front cover by a celebrity photographer, either at a studio, your home or location of your choice. We can also arrange for a make-up artist and hair stylist. Other options include having your biography turned into an audiobook or e-book.

How many copies can I have?

As many as you would like. A certain number of copies are included in the price but you are welcome to place an order for additional copies at any time.

What happens during the interviews?

The interview sessions are relaxed yet revelatory, with yourself and the writer engaging in informal chats covering the key events and memories you would like included in your book. Each session typically lasts between 90 minutes and two hours and you will be advised in advance which areas and topics will be covered should you wish to prepare. Interviews can take place over the phone or by video call (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime) or, where deemed safe and at an appropriate social distance, in person.

I’m nervous about speaking about private matters…

It’s completely understandable to feel a little uneasy, particularly when discussing parts of your life that are painful or upsetting. Our writers have interviewed war heroes, kidnap victims and public figures battling terminal illness and always handle such situations with sensitivity and compassion.

Do I have to include everything?

No. We encourage you to be as open and candid as possible but if there are things that you would rather leave out that’s absolutely fine.

Is everything kept confidential?

We take the privacy of our clients extremely seriously. All interview sessions, supplementary materials and manuscripts are kept completely confidential at all times. Furthermore, all members of the Master Storytellers team are bound by non-disclosure agreements.

Can I have my story turned into a digital e-book?

Yes, that’s one of the optional extras we offer. Contract us for more information.

What about as an audiobook?

Having an audio version brings your story to life in a whole new way. We can arrange this as an optional extra, either narrated by yourself or one of our professional voice artists some of which have recorded audiobooks for Audible.

Can it be translated?

We can arrange for your book to be translated into other languages including French, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. Contact us for more information.

Do I have to supply images?

If you can but it’s not compulsory.

What will be on the cover?

That’s up to you. We can create a design using an image you supply or arrange for you to be photographed to give the cover real wow factor. Alternatively, our superb illustrators and graphic designers are able to craft striking options without imagery.

Is it possible to have the book finished faster?

Yes, we offer an Express delivery option. Contact us for more information.

I’ve already written a manuscript. Can you help with that?
